Good Morning Nathan

Due to the fact that he woke up at 5:00am to eat and went back to sleep, when Nathan woke up this morning he was happy as can be. Because he didn't have a rumbling stomach distracting him. He is a really good night sleeper and Mom is very grateful. He most commonly sleep from around 10:00pm-7:00am. That means Mom gets 9 hours of sleep (at least most days). Thank you Nathan. HAPPY HALLOWEEN - lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Before Halloween we went to K'mart to pick up a costume for Nathan. Since we were late shoppers the only two costumes left in Nathan's size were a bear and a lion. First, Nathan tried on the bear costume and smiled and giggled. Then when we tried the lion he just screamed and screamed, so we let him pick and left with the bear costume. We debated what Seth and I would create for our costumes to go along with his, and decided on Lions, Tigers and Bears. Mom was a lion Dad was a tiger and Nathan of coarse was the bear. We went to a dance for our church activity where Nathan went into hybernation. Over all, Nate's first Halloween was a success, where he recieved many oh and awhs and "oh, he's so cute" 's. Nathan even got to go tricker treating at Grammy and Grampa Lash's via webcam. Happy Halloween!

Talkin' with Dad

Daddy is really good about talking to Nathan, and Nathan loves is. Nathan is a daddy's boy when he wants to play and a Momma's boy when he wants to sleep. Seth's favorite thing to do with little Nate when Nate is active is respond to his noises with his interpretation of nate's story. It is very amusing to watch. This video doesn't do it any justice, but that is what was going on when I started filming.

Nathan's First Campout

Friday, August 15th Nathan got to go camping for is very first time. Mom was a little nervous, but Nathan seemed to really enjoy the outdoors, and he still does. He always quiets down as soon as we walk outside. It's a nice tool.

Nathan's Baby Blessing

We had the great opportunity on Sunday (August 10) to take Nathan to church and give him his baby blessing. Jim was here from Georgia and Nate and Susan were here along with Natalie from Illinois. Our fathers are the two who we named Nathan James because of the great example that they have been in our lives and the great respect that we have for their wonderful personalities and character.We also had some family visit from the Idaho Falls area and Utah as well. Martha sent an outfit for baby Nathan to wear which was adorable and we took some cute pictures with family to show him off. We definitely have been very picture-happy as we have taken pictures at almost every opportunity (him sleeping, crying, playing, etc...) With so many cute faces that he makes, it's hard to not have a video camera taping him all day. Most people say that after the first child the pictures and such will slack off a little so we better get as many in now as we can!

Nathan was so adorable in his blessing outfit that we made sure to get plenty of pictures of him. This one is of Seth holding Nathan James with Jim on the left and Nate on the right. As many of you know, Little Nathan James was named after his two grandfathers.
